Hi, I'm Marshall Slayton. I started my construction company in 1993, first building several stick-frame houses for clients, and later began a relationship with Cardinal Homes as their area contractor for modular homes.
Since then, I have built additions, done remodeling work,and built modular and stick frame homes in Clarksville, Halifax, Scottsburg, Vernon Hill, Cluster Springs,and Turbeville, Virginia Beach, Hurt, Charlotte County, and Danville.
I have built large fellowship halls for several churches in the South Boston area and in Clarksville, and completed expansions and renovations for both VIR Speedway and Berry Hill Estate.
My work crew has varied from 1 to 5 people working directly for me through the years, with sub-contractors working under my direct supervision on various aspects of each build. Because mine is a small company, I am personally involved with all aspects of every job I take on, and I am always available to my clients.
Early in my career I worked for a plumbing company, and then for a heating and air company. Next I worked for several home builders in this area before I decided to start my own construction company. Now it's hard to believe that I've got over 30 years of experience building homes, but it gives me a great feeling to ride throughout the county and see homes I've built.
I've developed an excellent relationship with many people in the building industry, both subcontractors and the folks at Lowe's and Boston Lumber. I love working outside, and I love every step of the building process. I take great pride in my work. I realize what a great responsibility building someone's home is, and I take this responsibility to heart.
When you think about building a new home or adding an addition to you existing home, one of the most important things to consider is trust. Trust is something that must be earned. We strive every day to earn that trust from every client. We are honest about what they should expect, diligent in our efforts to save them money and spend their money wisely, and we are sincere in our quest to build a home they will absolutely love. We strive to answer questions clearly, and offer suggestions based on our experience .
